Pirate Cabin

Hey, it’s been a long time since my last post.  There’s been a lot that’s been going on and I haven’t gotten that much time to put up some of my latest.  I’ll start with a few of my older projects and hopefully you’ll see a few more pieces pop up within the next few days.

This is one I really like a lot.  I spent a lot of time trying to get the brass window lining to be part of the actual structure.  I believe in the end, I had to use a separate beveled shape and overlap but the end result works, I believe.

The glass and the brass both come from tutorials found online, however, there is some of my own flare in tweaking the color and texture to give it a bit more of a real world feel.

I personally love the texture of the rug and seat cushion in this one.  The cushion especially since I wanted that pristine velvety look where the tips of the fabric look a bit golden as you can see in the following closeup.

The map for both the map and the rug were found online.  I did spend a lot of time on a rope which I was hoping would make it into the final design, but never really found a place, but like most of the things that bug me, I leave it open to come back to.
